mandate is to supervise the development of Russia's capital market,
ensuring that investors' rights are protected and that market
operations are conducted in a way that is fair and transparent. It
is responsible for issuing and enforcing regulations for market
professionals, licensing market professionals, regulating securities
issues and market operations, and supporting the development of
infrastructure.
Personal
Investment Authority (PIA) - The Personal
Investment Authority regulates firms which advise, market and sell
investments to private investors.
Securities
and Futures Authority (SFA) - The Securities
and Futures Authority (SFA) regulates stockbrokers dealing in
shares, options and financial and commodities futures.
